1. Introduction

J. S. Hindu P. G. College, Amroha, established with a vision to provide quality education to students from a remote area, has a strong student base of 6000 students. The college offers a diverse range of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs across disciplines like Arts & Humanities, Commerce, Science, and various professional courses such as BCA, BBA, MSW, PG Diploma in Tourism, and PG Diploma in Mass Communication & Journalism. Additionally, the college runs regional centers for IGNOU and UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University, contributing significantly to higher education accessibility in the region.
The college is committed to meeting the highest standards in terms of academic and extracurricular development, catering to students' professional and holistic growth. This Institutional Development Plan (IDP) outlines the strategic initiatives and development goals that the college will pursue from 2025 to 2030, aligning with the UGC's guidelines and the evolving needs of students and faculty.

In line with UGC guidelines, the key objectives for J. S. Hindu P. G. College are:

As per UGC guidelines, the college will focus on the following infrastructural and facility enhancements

o Upgrade classrooms with modern teaching aids like smartboards, projectors, and e-learning tools to create an interactive learning experience.

o Ensure that classrooms are compliant with UGC’s infrastructural standards for accessibility and inclusivity.

2. Research and Innovation Centers:

o Establish dedicated research centers and laboratories in various fields to encourage academic inquiry and innovation.

o Align with UGC’s guidelines on establishing research funds and grants for faculty and students, promoting a research-oriented culture.

3. Library and Information Resources:

o Increase the availability of digital resources and e-journals to provide students and faculty access to the latest research materials in compliance with UGC's recommendations for modernizing library facilities.

o Implement academic audits as suggested by UGC to periodically evaluate and improve the academic standards.

o Integrate the UGC's guidelines for quality assurance and accreditation into the college's self-evaluation processes, including preparing for accreditation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) & NIRF (National Institution of Ranking Framework).

1. Career Development and Counselling:

o Establish a dedicated career counselling center that helps students with career planning, resume building, and interview preparation, in line with UGC guidelines for enhancing student employability.

o Expand the scope of Sahu Jagdish Saran Study Center (SJSSC), which provides free classes and guidance in hybrid mode for the competitive exams like UGC NET, UPSC, UPPSC, SSC, TGT, PGT, UPHESC, and Banking etc. to cater to more students and prepare them for national and international opportunities.

2. Extracurricular and Co-curricular Activities:

o Organize regular cultural fests, sports events, and leadership development programs that encourage student participation in extracurricular activities.

o Promote UGC's guidance on student engagement by forming student clubs, societies, and leadership opportunities to foster creativity and organizational skills.
