The college has an active Rovers - Rangers Unit functioning under the guidance of the Uttar Pradesh Bharat Scouts and Guides. The unit aims to inculcate among students the values of national service, patriotism, discipline, self-reliance, leadership, and social responsibility.
Through various educational and training activities, the Rovers - Rangers Unit strives to develop students’ ability to face challenges and adverse circumstances with confidence and courage. The training promotes character building, social harmony, first aid awareness, disaster management skills, intellectual growth, physical fitness, and the effective use of available resources in difficult situations. It also encourages students to cultivate the spirit of service, cooperation, humanity, and dedication towards society and the nation.
Admission to the Rovers - Rangers Unit is offered to students of the first year of undergraduate programmes. Interested students may apply through the prescribed application form and contact the unit coordinators. At present, Dr. Umesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, serves as the Rovers Coordinator, and Dr. Suman Chauhan, Assistant Professor, Department of English, serves as the Rangers Coordinator. Participation in the Rovers - Rangers activities is also beneficial for students preparing for Railway recruitment, Defence services, and other competitive examinations requiring discipline, leadership, and service-oriented training.
Under the leadership of the unit coordinators, the Rovers - Rangers Unit of J. S. Hindu (P.G.) College, Amroha organized a number of social awareness, educational, and community service programmes during the 2025–26 academic session.

16–18 February 2026 | Science Campus, Kailasa Road
A three-day Rovers - Rangers Training Camp was organized at the Science Campus, Kailasa Road, from 16 to 18 February 2026.
The camp was formally inaugurated on 16 February 2026 by the Hon’ble Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Veer Virendra Singh.
The camp concluded with a valedictory session conducted by the Hon’ble Principal, in which a large number of faculty members were present. The successful organization of the camp reflected the college’s commitment to the holistic development of students through discipline, service, leadership, and community engagement.
